My housemates broke my computer. Knocked it over while cleaning and the screen shattered.

No more art, no more roleplaying with Cas and no more anything to fucking do because I live in the goddamn mountains in the middle of buttfuck nowhere and I just want to scream. Oh, and it's winter rain already, so if anyone says go outside, suck a fucking dick because I'd rather not drown.

They're offering to give me a monitor, but there's several things that make that difficult.

1. My computer is a laptop, which means I would either have to get an external keyboard + mouse to use it, and then Gimp would be just basically be a tower, or I get to find a way to lay my screen flat and have tons of room to be able to put the monitor about a foot away from my face. Oh boy.
2. I can't just have the laptop in my lap because Gimp's powercord bullshit makes it so that if I move the computer too much, it dies.
3. I would have to either sit at the desk with the rest of them, or be shuttled off into another room, where I will be totally isolated. I cannot do the former because one of my biggest pet peeves is when people can see what I'm doing on the computer. Drives me absolutely batshit insane. Also, I'd rather not go into the other room, because, like I said, I'd be isolated and it really just doesn't appeal to me. I'd sooner take that than have to smoosh in on the desk with everyone else (where there's crap laying around everywhere and would also drive me insane.)

What really pisses me off the most though is how... little they seem to care. That computer, while a peace of shit, still fucking WORKED and still cost around $2500. If I get a new laptop, eventually? I won't be able to have Gimp as a backup, and all my art programs? They won't work on anything other than XP and they don't sell XP anymore. So even if I get to take everything off my harddrive, I will never again be able to have the ONLY fucking art program I can use. EVER. Because the new version? Sucks. And it costs money. That I don't have. Have I mentioned I HAVE NO FUCKING MONEY?

I am just basically pissed beyond reason and WANT SOMETHING, just fucking SOMETHING to go fucking right in my life. SERIOUSLY.
